DePaul School uses a multisensory, Orton-Gillingham approach to Teach The Way They Learn. We’ve helped kids with dyslexia for 43 years!

DePaul is fully enrolled for the 2024-25 school year. To be added to the waiting list, please email your name, number, and grade needed to info@depaulschool.com. // We will begin screening students for the 2025-26 school year in September.

Dyslexia is a genetic learning difference that affects 1 in 5 people, and it's based on neurological wiring.
Dyslexia varies in severity from person to person. One student with mild dyslexia may struggle to learn accurate spelling, while another student with profound dyslexia may require years of instruction to attain literacy.
People who have dyslexia describe as it the ability to read...but it taking a lot of concentration and the letters seems to "jump around".
Dyslexia is characterized by difficulty with learning to read fluently and with accurate comprehension despite normal intelligence. This includes difficulty with phonological awareness, phonological decoding, processing speed, orthographic coding, auditory short-term memory, language skills/verbal comprehension, and/or rapid naming.
DePaul was started by parents (with the help of experts) who wanted to build a school that teaches the way that children with dyslexia learn.
The DePaul school greatly appreciates donations to help offset the costs to new & enrolled students and their families.
