"The Snow Queen" Monday, July 9th 2018 through Thursday, July 12th, 2018 Main Branch Library, 11:00am & 1:00pm each day 303 North Laura St, Jacksonville, FL 32202 Hans Christian Andersen's tale of adventure comes to life in this musical adaptation. Gerda must save her friend, Kay, who has become enchanted and can see no good in the world. Gerda seeks help from a talking (and singing) crow, the notorious (and comic) Robber Prince, and a Reindeer Herder (and her audience participant reindeer), as they try to save Kay from the mysterious Snow Queen. All Ages!
Free Summer Theatre has become a summer tradition for camps, child care agencies and families. With a generous grant from CITI, Free Summer Theatre opens the doors of the theatre, free to everyone who makes a reservation including children and youth from city recreational camps such as The Bridge, Duval County Summer VPK, Team Up, YMCA summer programs, Communities in Schools and Community Connections, as well as well as a wide variety of smaller nonprofit camps and individual families. Theatreworks’ Free Summer Theatre has become a mainstay event during the summer campers’ week. This past year, approximately 10,000 reserved their seat to a free summer show.
