Birding is a great way to explore Timucuan Preserve. Bird walks for beginners includes an overview of how to use binoculars, field guides, and various field marking to identify birds. The park has a limited supply of binoculars that can be borrowed free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring water and to wear insect repellent, closed-toed shoes, sun screen, and a hat.
