JAX Little Art is a home-based art studio with outdoor art and creativity classes for kids ages. We Create and Play! My art classes pay special attention to the process of creation. They are usually open-ended, choice-driven, and celebrate the experience of discovery. The classes are held in the backyard of my Atlantic Beach home accompanied by the sounds of the most amazing birds. Each class is one hour with a ten min “play-break”. I love beautiful illustrated children's books and always read my current favorites at the end of the class.
The classes are for kids ages 1 to 12 and are focused on developing fine motor skills using 2D and 3D artistic activities like painting, beading, yarn-wrapping, assembling, or decorating fun objects. A lot of our projects use recycled materials, teaching children the importance of reusing materials and transforming them into beautiful and unique pieces.
Classes usually are on Monday through Friday 10 am – 11 am or 4 pm -5 pm and can be scheduled accordingly. I am flexible; let’s talk about it. If you would like to participate please contact me by email: jaxlittleart@gmail.com or text me: 347-575-2552.
Who is Jax Little Art?
Hello, my name is Helena Acosta. I am a Venezuelan mom and art curator. For more than 15 years I’ve been curating contemporary art projects in cities like Barcelona, New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Caracas, among others. I have developed several art and creativity classes for kids and adults in different countries, as well as teaching art history at several universities and art institutes in Venezuela. In 2018 I became a mother to the most amazing little girl. Since then we have been playing together and creating the most wonderful things at home, bringing together our imagination and creativity. Now we are ready to share our experiences with our community and friends.
