Child Advocacy

Advocating for children is the most important part of the Wolfson Children’s mission. We are committed to reducing ER visits and keeping kids out of the hospital through a range of community programs.

A Voice for All Kids

Through THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s, we reach beyond the walls of the hospital to promote safe and healthy childhoods for all kids in our region.

  • Helping children make good choices regarding safety, hygiene, eating habits and overall health through age-appropriate curriculum.

  • Keeping kids healthy and out of the hospital with programs on asthma, weight management and fitness.

  • Making sure kids and their health needs have a voice at all levels of government through our participation in legislative activities.

Giving to Wolfson Children’s

THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health

After an initial $1 million gift helped establish the Center in 2011, THE PLAYERS Championship furthered their commitment in 2016 with $2 million, which was matched with $3 million from Baptist Health. These funds allow THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health to sustain its education, wellness and injury prevention programs, and expand the Center’s impact to more kids in the region.
