Timucuan Parks Foundation has partnered with JaxParks for Friday Mornings in JaxParks – Summer Volunteer Projects. The organizations are looking for volunteers to join them this Friday, June 7 from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Reddie Point Preserve, 4499 Yachtsman Way,
Volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and to bring work gloves, loppers, and clippers (if they have them), sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, sunglasses and a full reuseable water bottle. Timucuan Parks Foundation will have additional work gloves, tools, and supplies and will provide Nature Valley granola bars and water. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Volunteers under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or scout leader during the project. Volunteers are eligible for community service hours.
Additional volunteer projects will be held on June 28 at Bulls Bay Preserve, 8017 Old Plank Rd; July 12 at Dutton Island Preserve II, 2001 Dutton Island Rd W; July 19 at Castaway Island Preserve, 2885 San Pablo Rd S; and August 2 at Betz-Tiger Point Preserve, north end of Pumpkin Hill Rd.
