Do you love language? Know what it feels like to breathe life into a character by putting pen to paper? Be empowered through storytelling, all while building writing skills. Explore your imagination through creative, hands-on writing activities and games. (For ages 12 – 17)
Inspiration doesn’t always come easy, even for the most experienced writers. In this program, we will find inspiration from within our own lives as well as from works of art to generate new poems. Our featured book is The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo. We’ll read a couple short poems that serve as examples and provide further inspiration.

Supplies include:
- Pen/pencil
- Paper

After our program, find the book for today’s program to read again in our catalog HERE to pickup at a branch/download. Need assistance? Contact us at 904-255-BOOK.
