The Nao Santa María is one of the most famous ships of humanity. On October 12th, 1492, captained by Christopher Columbus, the protagonist of one of the most important milestones in history: the discovery of America, the Meeting between the Worlds that is related to the evolution of universal history. This is Nao Santa Maria's first visit to Fernandina and it has been a long time coming so we're really excited to welcome her to the island. Come check it out from June 3-6! It's not every day that a beautiful replica of Christopher Columbus' ship sails into town!
The visit consists of a self guided tour through the 5 decks of the Santa María, where you can find informative panels with the history of the ship, ornamental elements of the time and talk with the crew to feel how to live the Spanish sailors 500 years ago.
