Garden Club of Jacksonville Budding Gardeners: What's In Your Backyard?

Children and their families can learn about the native plants in their own backyards and how they are crucial to supporting wildlife.
Members of the Ixia Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society will share examples of native species children can find in their own yards and help children plant seeds to take home and grow. We’ll have other activities that stress the importance of native plants.
Budding Gardeners is aimed at children in grades 1-6 to discover gardening, conservation, and wildlife through interactive programs, crafts, and outdoor projects. Children and their parents or caregivers collaborate during a morning of healthy and fun activities.
