In this tour of the preserve with a park Naturalist, participants will be given the option to explore the wooded habitat of the expansion trail or go for a walk out the island to explore salt marsh habitat.
Portions of the trail are subject to flooding during unusually high tides and after rain; hiking boots are recommended.
There will be a discussion on any plants or animals encountered on the walk.
Meet at the Dutton Island expansion trail parking lot.
Water, sun protection, bug spray, and binoculars are recommended.
Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
