Learning Tree Preschool Center, The

“As the twig is bent, so grows the tree.” The Learning Tree Preschool Center has been “twig bending” since 1974, and our staff wants to help your child develop good “roots” upon which to grow. We want the experience here to be a happy one as your child grows and develops individual, skills, attitudes, and understanding. The Learning Tree prides itself on continuity. Its director has served at The Learning Tree for 30+ years. Many classroom teachers have served 15, 20, or more years! In 2011, The Learning Tree was awarded for its outstanding DCF licensing record, and has received an "A+" on DCF inspections by Channel 12 twice.

What We Do

Provide a high quality academic program combined with a clean, attractive atmosphere with dedicated Christian teachers who love and accept all children enrolled.

Design a program through the “learning center” approach which allows children to be children in an enriched environment, which provides for moral, social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth.

Provide a setting for learning in keeping with a child’s age and stage, maturity, size, needs and capabilities which offers opportunity for freedom of choice and developing of skills and interests.
Minister to the spiritual needs of the child’s entire family and provide a program that will represent San Jose Baptist Church as a valuable in-reach and out-reach ministry.
