Communities in Schools Jacksonville

Communities In Schools of Jacksonville is a leading dropout prevention organization helping kids successfully learn, stay in school and prepare for life. We reach more than 6,900 at-risk students in 37 Duval County Public Schools through mentoring, literacy tutoring, after-school enrichment, and case management.

The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Provide a personal one-on-one relationship with a caring adult; a safe place to learn and grow; a healthy start and a healthy future; a marketable skill to use upon graduation and a chance to give back.

Communities in Schools Jacksonville is home to four core programs that enhance the lives of the students by furthering the goal of dropout prevention. The programs are: Achievers for Life, Duval Reads, Team Up and Students Enrichment Program.
