San Jose Early College at Cecil

San Jose Early College at Cecil offers Career Academies, industry certifications, work-based learning, college preparation and dual enrollment opportunities with Florida State College of Jacksonville. Students benefit from flexible graduation pathways, choosing between the 18-credit or 24-credit standard high school diploma.

A new state-of-the-art campus is under construction on the property of FSCJ at Cecil Center. Follow our social media to watch its progress. The school will include a commercial-grade culinary arts kitchen and a makerspace to house flight simulators, computer labs, 3-D printers and other tech-centered resources. This is in addition to traditional classrooms for core academic instruction (English, Math, Science, Social Studies and languages).

Career Academies in Aviation, Information Technology, Financial Technology and Culinary Arts will prepare our students for careers that are high paying and in demand in the Northeast Florida marketplace.

Students will earn industry certifications, participate in internships and run their own businesses. For example, we are in process for establishing an onsite credit union at which students, staff and family members can do their banking (Fin-Tech).
