For more than seven decades, the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair has stood for something bigger than rides, ribbons, concerts, and midway lights. At the heart of our mission and purpose is a deep commitment to education, agriculture, community service, and the next generation of leaders who will carry those values forward. Through our Scholarship Program, the Fair provides financial support to students pursuing agriculture, veterinary medicine, technical training, and other fields of study — helping turn ambition into opportunity for young people across Northeast Florida.
The Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair Association has proudly contributed more than $2.6 million to local charities and scholarships, investing directly back into the community it was built to serve. The program honors students who demonstrate academic promise, leadership, community involvement, participation in 4-H, FFA, agricultural programs, and service to the Fair or other local and state fairs. More than an award, the scholarship is a reflection of the Fair’s enduring belief that supporting education is one of the most meaningful ways to strengthen the future of Jacksonville and the surrounding region.
As the Fair enters a new era on Jacksonville’s Westside, its passion for giving back remains firmly rooted in its history and mission: to educate, entertain, inform, and uplift. The lights may draw people to the Fairgrounds, but programs like this are what keep its purpose shining long after the gates close.
