At Dr. Alvarez’s Pediatric Dental Practice, children feel like they have embarked on a safari adventure. Dr. Alvarez has created a child-friendly environment complete with a playroom, jungle animals and wall murals that provide you and your family with an enjoyable experience.

Dr. Alvarez has a passion for children that extends outside of the office as demonstrated by her support of local non- profit organizations close to her heart such as Seamark Ranch, East Coast Ballet, Autism Speaks, and America’s Most Wanted DNA-Lifeprint Safety Events.

At Safari of Smiles, we love ALL of our patients. Children with special needs and their families often have unique concerns and we strive to provide an elevated treatment experience to alleviate those concerns. We have a private room with a beautiful lake view that affords the children with a controlled quiet space to feel relaxed, comfortable, and instill confidence. In addition, Dr. Alvarez has designed a full desensitizing program that includes a personalized picture exchange communications system (PECS) for each child.

When you come for a visit you may notice something a little different. We have wind chimes hanging inside our office. These are not just any wind chimes, they are very unique, The Woodstock Chimes for Autism are musically-tuned to a melody from Mozart's Piano Concerto and features a specially designed clapper, so its soothing tones ring more gently. These chimes are hung specifically throughout the office so they lead to our private exam room, where there is plenty of room for mom or dad to join too. We encourage our patients to ring each one along the way as we celebrate their arrival and cheer for their success each visit.
