About Joe Davis Memorial Park
Originally named Larsen Acres or Larsen Road Park, Joe Davis Memorial Park was dedicated on June 10, 2002. This park is named for the head of the family whose commitment to the neighborhood made the purchase of the property possible. The park`s playscape was assembled in a single day in March 2002 by volunteers from CNA Insurance, The Claims Administration Corporation, The Jacksonville Housing Partnership, and residents of the Larsen community. The park offers a playscape, a grill, a picnic shelter and a basketball court. A new playscape was installed spring 2023.
