Prodigal Kids, a nonprofit, private behavioral health agency that serves children and adolescents in elementary, middle, and high school. Our goal is to assist the child in acquiring those skills, attitudes, and resources necessary to pursue productive and satisfying lives. We provide a range of services to meet the child's needs including, individual, family, and group therapy, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention and intervention, parent and teacher education, and school consultation.
Our program provides prevention, intervention services, mental health, and intensive outpatient treatment to adolescents referred by police, schools, other local agencies, and parents. Adolescents treated by Prodigal Kids have been referred for possession of marijuana, paraphernalia, petty theft, disorderly conduct, trespassing, use of alcohol under age 21, difficult peer relationships, defiance, school problems, and low self-esteem.
Treatment is customized based on the presenting problem, parental concerns, and deficits evidenced by the assessment used at intake. Our services are provided in the home, at school and on the Prodigal Kids campus.
We accept private insurance, private pay, and are currently Medicaid pending.
