Through THE PLAYERS Center for Child Health at Wolfson Children’s, we reach beyond the walls of the hospital to promote safe and healthy childhoods for all kids in our region. Our areas of focus are:
Access to Health Care
Connecting families with resources so kids can get the healthcare they need, with a focus on enrolling children in health insurance.
Education Programs
Helping children make good choices regarding safety, hygiene, eating habits and overall health through age-appropriate curriculum.
Child Safety and Injury Prevention
Reducing preventable injuries through safety education, including car seat, pedestrian, water, fire, sleep, bike and sports safety.
Health and Wellness
Keeping kids healthy and out of the hospital with programs on asthma, weight management and fitness.
Legislative Advocacy
Making sure kids and their health needs have a voice at all levels of government through our participation in legislative activities.
