Owner Michael Rossi, created Wild Wonders in 2002 with the purpose of entertaining while teaching about animals, this is a new outreach program for northeast Florida that include exotics animals. Programs include:
1. Warm Fuzzies- This is our most polished and smooth running program since 2002. We bring a variety of animals that can be held. This includes small mammals and reptiles that includes dance, story and humor involving children and animals. Animals revolve so not to be stressed. New animals always substitute.
2. Prehistoric Pals- This is nothing but reptiles. We bring lizards, turtle and snakes, but it may be possible to add a baby alligator depending on the timing of our license.
3. Animal Senses- We only bring six animals, but each animal teaches us about the five senses and how they use them in nature. We do an activity with the children, including smell, touch, hearing and sight as our markers. (This program first was premiered in Lake City in the summer of 2011. It may be a nice alternative to businesses who have seen Warm Fuzzies a number of times.)
4. Invasive Species-(**NEW) We bring animals that have invaded Florida and living amongst us. Children see and learn about animals that have adapted well to our climate and environment and why letting go an unwanted pet may be a bad idea.
