Theatre Jacksonville is a volunteer based community theatre whose mission is to enrich lives and broaden cultural understanding through community participation in theatre arts.
Current Programs being offered:
Theatre for Babies:
Our sixty minute show, Everything's A Circle, the first original play in Theatre Jacksonville’s Theatre for Babies program, is a theatrical performance designed specifically for parents and caregivers with babies between the ages of 3 and 12 months.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to take off their shoes, sit on the floor, relax and observe as the littlest play-goers experience everyday household objects transform into fabulous, theatrical wonders! Everything's A Circle is a theatrical performance for babies, but it is also a demonstration for parents and caregivers of ways in which everyday household objects can become tools to help engage, stimulate and connect with babies while in their earliest stages of development.
Theatre for Explorers:
Our sixty minute show, You & I is a theatrical performance designed specifically for parents and caregivers with toddlers between the ages of 12 months and 3 years old.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to take off their shoes, sit on the floor, relax and observe their little play-goers experience. You & I is a theatrical performance for toddlers, but it is also a demonstration for parents and caregivers of the ways in which everyday objects, sounds, and activities can become tools to help engage, stimulate, and connect with their ever changing stages of development.
Theatre for Kids:
During the school year, Theatre Jacksonville offers educational classes. Theatre helps build important life skills, self-esteem, and confidence, all while providing students with fun, enjoyment, and a sense of accomplishment.
