*HoopStars Program (Ages 5-8) | Every Friday | 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM
Sports Edge's signature HoopStars is a program designed to teach motor skills, sports skills, and basketball skills to boys and girls. HoopStars will provide your daughter or son the physical exercise and motor skills necessary to develop agility, stamina, balance, discipline, eye tracking, focus, and attention skills, as well as the joy of movement. In addition, participants will learn the basic skills and game patterns of the great sport of Basketball.
Every participant will receive a free HoopStars practice shirt.
MiniHoops Program (Ages 9-10) | Every Friday | 6:15pm – 7:15pm
This program is designed for both female and male athletes ages 9 & 10 who are interested in progressing in the sport of basketball. This program is a level up from our HoopStars Program, in which athletes will learn more advanced training techniques as well as different forms of competitive play including 3 vs. 3, 4 vs. 4, and eventually 5 vs. 5. All training will be using an age-appropriate ball and lower goal for athletes. This is a beginner-level program designed for athletes looking to learn in a fun environment with staff who are dedicated to growing the sport of basketball.
Basketball Lab Advanced Skills Training | Grades 5th-8th | Girls Tuesdays 5:45pm – 7:00pm | Boys Tuesdays 7:00pm-8:15pm | Max 12 Players
The program is designed for the middle school-aged athlete who wants to be serious in the sport of basketball. This program will help develop the player to become ready for middle and high school basketball. A competitive, but balanced environment, introduces more detail and a greater pace to the game. Each workout will emphasize ball control, hand and foot development, and the essentials of shooting and scoring.
The program will be one 75 min session a week.
Train and Games League (Ages 11-14) | Fridays 7:15pm – 8:45pm
The Sports Edge Youth Train and Games Basketball League provides players with the opportunity to improve individual basketball skills by building strategies, learning teamwork and developing confidence.
We provide opportunities for each player to reach their maximum potential through competition outside of the interscholastic season. Each team will have one 90-minute practice each Friday. 45 mins of training and 45 mins of team scrimmages. Each team will play in 2 in-house tournaments per session.
