The Mandarin Museum & Historical Society hosts a monthly acoustic music jam at the Walter Jones Historical Park. If you play a traditional acoustic instrument (guitar, banjo, mandolin, etc.) and enjoy singing or playing with others, you are invited to come out and play. The Mandarin Museum and 1898 St. Joseph’s Mission Schoolhouse for African-American Children, which illustrate some of the rich history of Mandarin, will be open during this time as well.
The event is typically held on the first Sunday of each month. This is an outdoor event, so expect weather cancellation for rain or cold. Generally, however, it is a perfect setting to join other musicians in a round of sharing and playing together under the old oaks on this beautiful historic property. This event is presented in partnership with the North Florida Folk Network.
