  • Location: James Weldon Johnson Park: 135 W. Monroe St. Jacksonville, FL 32202

Located in a beautiful James Weldon Johnson Park, our open mic event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some fresh air, connect with others, and express yourself creatively. Whether you're a seasoned poet or a first-time performer, we welcome all voices and perspectives to take the stage and share their unique poetry.

As you enjoy the performances, you'll also have the opportunity to learn more about the important work that Hope at Hand does in the community, providing poetry therapy workshops for those in need. By attending this event, you'll not only be supporting the arts, but you'll also be making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth.

So grab your lunch and join us for a mid-day break filled with poetry and inspiration, emceed by the one and only LoveReigns! Admission is free, and all are welcome to participate or simply listen and enjoy. Let's come together as a community and celebrate the healing power of poetry!

Special thanks to James Weldon Johnson Park for partnering with us for this event.

Thank you to the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, the City of Jacksonville, the Poetry Foundation, and the Florida Department of State Division of Arts and Culture for helping sponsor this event.
