Budding Gardeners: For the Birds

  • When: Saturday, January 13, 2024, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Location: Garden Club of Jacksonville: 1005 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32204

Children learn to identify some of Northeast Florida’s most common backyard birds. Find out how to recognize birds you don’t see but you can hear.

Budding Gardeners: For the Birds is sponsored and presented by the Garden Divas Circle, which is part of the Garden Club of Jacksonville. Garden Divas member Connie Long shares her years of experience identifying and photographing birds.

Budding Gardeners is aimed at children in grades 1-6 to discover gardening, conservation, and wildlife through interactive programs, crafts, and outdoor projects. Children and their parents or caregivers collaborate during a morning of healthy and fun activities.

Each registration includes one parent and child.

The program is free for members and only $5 for nonmembers, but space is limited. Registration is required, so we know how many supplies to provide. Please call 904-355-4224 if your child cannot attend.
