Harveys Supermarket is continuing its partnership with Jacksonville Public Library to host its final Storytime events for preschool children on Saturday, March 9 at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the Main Library in Downtown Jacksonville. The free events will culminate Celebrate Reading Week with a special storytelling program featuring two read-aloud sessions of “Rainbow Soup,” one of the eight all-new books included in this year's JaxKids Book Club backpack.
The first 50 families to attend each session will receive a complimentary reusable tote from Harveys Supermarket containing all the fresh ingredients to make "Rainbow Soup" at home. JaxKids Book Club backpacks will also be available (while supplies last) for any four-year-old who did not receive one at their Voluntary Pre-K center during the first half of the school year.
Families can also enjoy Early Learning Festival activities from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on the 2nd floor of the Main library including:
-Performance at 9:30 a.m. by Hello Mr. Joe, a local children’s librarian who promotes literacy, diversity and kindness through reading, singing and movement
