  • Location: Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens: 370 Zoo Parkway, Jacksonville, FL, 32218

Join us at the Zoo for an engaging evening with Murthy Kantimahanti, Founder and President of the Eastern Ghats Wildlife Society, as he presents A Model for Human–Snake Coexistence: Insights from King Cobra Conservation in Andhra Pradesh, India.

Murthy will share how the King Cobra Conservation Project evolved from addressing human–snake conflict to becoming a collaborative effort grounded in research, rescue work and community partnership. Through stories from the field and key findings about King Cobra ecology, he’ll highlight how science and local knowledge are transforming fear into coexistence.
