
This popular summer jazz camp is uniquely tailored to introduce, inspire, and advance the varied interests, experiences, and skill sets of vocalists and instrumentalists in the performance of the America's original musical artform, Jazz. Campers enjoy informative sessions in jazz improv, history, fundamentals, stylistic interpretation, repertoire, solo and ensemble musicianship, and more, mentored by highly regarded jazz artist/educators (3 are Jax Jazz Fest "Hall of Fame" Inductees), middle school to collegiate level, of international performance backgrounds. The week culminates with a Camper/Pro Faculty Finale' Showcase concert for the community of combos and 2 big bands, beginner and advanced. Fun, challenging, rewarding, great student prep for Fall back-to-school music programs, teachers learn great concepts in teaching jazz, musicians novice to pro take their skills to the next level!
